James Alberione was an imaginative boy who grew up in a changing world. Fulfilling his dream to become a priest, the example of Saint Paul inspired the young Father James. He wanted to reach the whole world with the love of God through the media. Using books, art, newspapers, magazines, radio, and even movies, Father James poured his energy into communicating the Gospel. Along the way, he started ten religious communities of brothers, sisters, and priests, as well as associations for lay people. Together these are known as the Pauline Family. James is called the first apostle of the new evangelization.
